Dirk BikkembergsMILAN, Jan 5, 2010 / FW/ — Holding a fashion show for charity is nothing new; but when it is held during the fashion season, when the fashion press and retail buyers are present, the stakes are higher and even with a minute miscalculation, it might backfire.

And that is a risk that Belgian designer Dirk Bikkembergs, famous for his sports couture and a member of the Antwerp 6, the designers that rocked and changed the fashion world during the 1980s, is willing to take.

On Monday 18 January 2010 at 11 AM, Dirk Bikkembergs will host its winter 2010 fashion show at the Teuliè Military School in Milan.

Tickets are exclusively available via the Dirk Bikkembergs website and require a donation of 11 Euros or multiples thereof – so 22 Euros, 33 Euros, etc.

All profits from ticket sales will be donated to a non-profit Cancer Research Foundation, IFOM (The FIRC Institute of Molecular Oncology).
