St Nicholas Park in Harlem

NEW YORK, Apr 20, 2010 / — On Friday, April 23 the New York Junior League (NYJL) will host one of its largest fundraisers, the 11th Annual Spring Auction, at Capitale in New York City.

This special evening, one of the NYJL’s largest fundraisers, includes a live and a silent auction and cocktail reception. The event is expected to generate vital funding to help renovate Saint Nicholas Park in Harlem.

Since 1992, The New York Junior League has been committed to creating safe places to play for New York’s 1.7 million children. In conjunction with the New York City Parks Department, the New York Junior League continues its 19th year of its Playground Improvement Project, focusing on St Nicholas Park.

This biggest hallmark to date will be completing the renovation of the fourth of Harlem’s parks which include Marcus Garvey, Morningside, and Jackie Robinson Park. The New York Junior League is proud to continue the NYJL’s long history of supporting the local community.

Presented in partnership with The Hampton Classic, Kooba, Sephora, Fresh, Majorica, The Eldridge, and Levanteast, the Spring Auction — with advance tickets priced at $150, and tickets at the door priced at $175 — the NYJL Spring Auction will fare an exciting evening of cocktails, dancing, live and silent auctions.

The 11th Annual Spring Auction is hosted from 8pm-12am at Capitale, 130 Bowery, New York, NY. All general admission guests are invited to an after-party at LEVANTeast Lounge and those holding VIP tickets will be granted access to a private after-party at The Eldridge.
