MADRID, Apr 3, 2010 / — On 2 February 1954, Seville was covered in snow. Nicolás Vaudelet takes his inspiration from the stories, the anecdotes and the images and transforms the city of Seville into a ski resort.
Protective elements, shoulder pads, ergonomic cuts, the silhouette is redrawn. Snowboard jumpsuits, mountaineering trousers, skating skirts, aerodynamic jackets, technical garments for withstanding the cold and winning a record.
Snow whites, ice blues, black nuances and stone greys are softened with pastel pinks and winter light yellows. The fire colour of saddlery leather, the browns of logs and purple warm the range.
Technical materials such as neoprene, microfibres, double face, lacquered nylon and plastics are combined with nappa, suede, eel skin and goat’s hair. Sophisticated materials are quilted: velvet, knit, silk crepe, Chantilly lace.
First-aid kits as wallets, inflated bags and shockproof briefcases. Trapper caps and Purísima jewels. Blucher and polo boots and sandals, raised on double stiletto heels.
