Juliette Binoche received the Best Actress Award for "Copie Conforme"

PARIS & CANNES, May 24, 2010 / FW/ — By now, everyone knows that the highly coveted Palme d’Or went to “Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives”, by the Thai director Apichatpong Weerasethakul and that French actress Juliette Binoche received the Best Actress Award for “Copie Conforme” by Abbas Kiarostami.

Accepting her award, Juliette Binoche chose to wear a Cartier platinum, diamond and onyx Panthere necklace which was a perfect accessory to her virgin white dress.

The best actor prize was divided between Javier Bardem for Alejandro González Iñárritu’s intense underworld drama “Biutiful” and to the young Italian Elio Germano for Daniele Luchetti’s “La Nostra Vita” (Our Life).

Accepting his award, Javier Bardem wore a Gucci Made to Order midnight blue peak lapel one button tuxedo with white dress shirt, navy blue silk tie and black patent lace up loafers.

Others on the red carpet at the Palme d’Or Award Closing Ceremony held at the Palais des Festivals during the 63rd Annual Cannes Film Festival on May 23, 2010 were:

Actress Fan Bing Bing who wore a blue floor length gown and Cartier earrings.

Salma Hayek wore an antique pink silk georgette Gucci Première strapless gown with pale gold beaded cluster detail in the front and around the waist, antique pink satin clutch with gold frame and Gucci High Jewelry pink gold horsebit cocktail ring, featuring a morganite central stone and brown round cut diamonds.

Actress Kate Beckinsale, member of the 63rd Cannes film Festival jury, wore a NINA RICCI black radzimir gown, from the Autumn-Winter 2010-2011 collection, to the closing ceremony of the festival, on May 23rd, 2010.

Backtracking a few days, on May 17th to be exact, during the premiere of “Biutiful”, Roxanne Mesquida wore a Christian Dior black silk gown and accessories.

During the same event, Helena Mattson wore a Christian Dior silk faille midnight blue embroidered dress.
