PARIS, Oct 6, 2010 / FW/ — Referencing the iconic faces of the 1970s – Bianca Jagger, Diane von Furstenberg and Lauren Hutton, Elie Saab brought to the catwalk their timeless elegance and style.

With their unnerving beauties and slightly provocative charms, Bianca, Diane and Lauren were the iconic faces of the 1970s; their youthful grace had been captured in the dove-gray jumpsuit, the lightness of finely pleated georgette, the femininity of a nip-waisted peach dress punctuated with a jeweled belt.

A glamorous world where elegance marked every appearance where tea rose-colored jersey dresses were accessorized with little absinthe crocodile clutches.

Urging his audience to return to this time, Elie Saab proposes impeccably coordinated suede sandals, their silhouettes interrupted by a salmon-hued suede clutch trimmed with metal or a micro jewel of a bag covered in crystals, or textured with tone-on-tone stone gray leather interlacing.

More refined still, bags in nude-colored suede or olive-green crocodile studded with graphic clasps reflecting flashes of light.
