MONTREAL, Sep 6, 2011/ — Even though Marie Saint Pierre is going to skip la passerelle du marché Bonsecours runway show this season, she is working on several new projects. With a head filled with fresh ideas, Marie is armed with a new collection that provides a sensual experience.

Marie Saint Pierre’s Spring 2012 collection introduces and integrates knot detailing, sculpted faux-leather rope effects, superimpositions, transparencies and an alluring mix of tone on tone materials. With a focal point on ribbons, filaments and trims, the designer remains true to her signature chic yet relaxed style.

Avant-garde and liberated from the norms, the collection reflects a desire to live fully without being affected from ordinary thinking and style. The result is timeless pieces, elaborate creations of pure elegance and careful reflection.

Silk cotton voile, organza, cotton jersey and viscose bring to mind concepts of lightness and well-being while a neutral color palette, brightened by fluorescent yellow, makes the collection unconventional and unique. Interchangeable pieces, both multifunctional and timeless, are seamlessly integrated into the creations in trademark Marie Saint Pierre fashion.

Marie Saint Pierre annonces the launch of a new interactive platform called ‘Les Carnets de Marie’. This unique blog will allow visitors to get an exclusive look inside Marie’s world and to interact directly with her.

Marie will allow exclusive access to her inspiration, workshop, her team as well as causes that are important to her. “Behind the magic of a creation we often have a tendency to forget all the teamwork that is involved.

Because fashion design remains today an enigmatic universe it is essential for me to open up the doors.” ‘Les Carnets de Marie’ is a new a concept that will offer audiences the opportunity to discover Marie Saint Pierre in a different light.

Marie was approached by L’OSM to collaborate and show the beauty of L’OSM by mixing the artistic world of fashion with the beautiful world of music. L’OSM musicians will inaugurate a new venue by wearing outfits Marie Saint Pierre created that are entirely made in Quebec. “I imagine a simple, classic, and comfortable outfit in order to create uniformity. Musicians from L’OSM are creating osmosis with their music and it is important that their outfits also work in that direction.”
