NEW YORK, Feb 14, 2012/ FW/ — Entitled ‘Handsome Femininity’, the designer Richard Chai, and the newly appointed Creative Director of Filson, the Seattle outdoor brand, displayed a neutral, minimalist collection that is wearable and practical for all ages.
The Richard Chai Love collection, which is Chai’s women’s collection, contained functional pieces with sophisticated, printed dresses, as well as sheer, flowy skirts.
The women’s collection also displayed menswear influences through the collared shirts and slouchy trousers, as well as through the outerwear pieces, which included boyfriend blazers, and structured, oversized coats with exaggerated pockets.
The Richard Chai’s Men’s collection included looks with a practical, yet, rugged sense with pieces such as a well constructed coats containing neutral colors and basic stripes, as well as fitted plaid pants, which were contrasted with Chai’s playful bomber jackets in the collection.
