NEW YORK, May 8, 2012/ — The Costume Institute might be celebrating Schiaparelli and Prada, but Calvin Collection remains a favorite on the red carpet at the museum’s annual gala.
During last night’s event, Emily Blunt & John Krasinski, Rosario Dawson, Joe Jonas, Will Arnett, Cory Monteith, Darren Criss, Jack Huston, Victor Cruz & Elaina Watley, Amar’e Stoudemire, Cheyenne Jackson, Damien Lewis, Steve Kazee, Amanda Brooks, Hanneli Mustaparta, and Tabitha Simmons & Craig McDean were all wardrobed by Calvin Klein Collection.
For the evening, each of the women’s looks was designed by Francisco Costa, the brands’ women’s Creative Director, and each of the men’s looks was designed by Italo Zucchelli, the brands’ men’s Creative Director, both of whom were in attendance.
The museum’s annual Costume Institute Gala Benefit celebrates the opening of the year’s exhibition, and is the main source of funding for the museum. This year’s exhibit, Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations (May 10 – August 19, 2012), explores the striking affinities between Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada, two Italian designers from different eras.
