“This collection is inspired by the social norms and the culture of the bespoke tailoring, implemented the highly detailed appliqué technique on the fabrication and the garment finishing. Each prints and stripes are in fact consists of layers of carefully positioned panels. Those intensively accurate stitch lines created a subtle thickness that transformed the structure of the traditional tailoring suits, also gave depth to the originally flat fabric surface.” – Designer, ShihHsun Lee
Launched in 2010 by former Dean, Simon Collins, with support from Donna Karan, the MFA is the first graduate program of its kind in the United States. The Parsons MFA show is a runway presentation showcasing 11 collections from the 2015 graduates of the Parsons MFA in Fashion Design and Society, a globally recognized, highly selective program for emerging designers.
