Presented in preview during Paris Fashion Week SS19, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower on a catwalk-pool, the Saint Laurent denim collection arrives in stores.

The proposal contains a selection of the youngest, freshest and coolest pieces created by Anthony Vaccarello. From skinny jeans to very short shorts with frayed hems, from the vintage mood denim vest to the black and white striped varsity jacket, to the hoodie “destroyed” Ad hoc dirty and full of holes.

Among the garments, the tribute to the works of Monsieur Yves remains clear. Anthony Vaccarello, the designer of Italian origin reworks the collection in a rock & roll, almost grunge like vibe. The iconic safari jacket worn for the first time in 1969 by model & muse Betty Catroux soon became one of the symbolic items of the maison, now shown in leather and stopped at the waist by an adjustable belt.

To complete each look, in addition to shoulder straps, belts and boots, there are the hats, straw or wide-brimmed, and silk scarves that tie around the neck. For the launch of the denim collection Saint Laurent entrusted the young photographer Gray Sorrenti. The 19-year-old girl, daughter of fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti (also known for some of the Calvin Klein 90s campaigns starring Kate Moss, his girlfriend at the time), made a series of shots and a black and white video where among the models it is easy to recognize Kaia Gerber.
