Long known for her fusion of cultures, textures & jewel tones, Deborah chose to create from a place of personal discovery & concern once again.  Her Spring Summer 2022 collection pays homage to one of the planet’s most intriguing & underrated creatures, the Bee.  Deborah, which literally means “bee” in Hebrew, & the consonants “DBR” which mean “lead” or “pursue”, is a fitting name for Thalé Blanc’s creative director & queen bee.

To create this collection, Sawaf buzzed from the fiercely sprouting olive & gold blooming treasures of India to the romantic champagne & red bouquet of Italy’s rustic shoreline, cross pollinating as she moved about the planet designing along the way combining mixed aesthetics & countless cultural influences as she progressed. Finally, she landed in Utah, the Beehive State, where she found herself surrounded by honey filled pools of inspiration. The fruit of her venture is evident throughout every stitch & detail of her SS 2022 collection.

Many of Thalé Blanc’s classic details like the exaggerated proportions to connote a feeling of ease without feeling oversized or unkempt, the heavily textured finishes from embossed croc on her leather handbags to the trapunto stitching & quilting on the cargo pocket shorts, as well as the appliques & embroidered patterns that represent a new dimension to the insanely prolific palette of Sawaf’s design lexicon – each & every detail creates a layer to be fashionably discovered.

New to her product mix for the season was Sawaf including her collection of jewelry into her presentation shown for the season.  Normally, this little gem of a collection (pun intended!) was only to be discovered on the Thalé Blanc site by her most loyal of followers, this season she moved the jewelry squarely to the forefront for all to enjoy.  Replete with various interpretations of buzzworthy details like bees crawling about over golden interpretations of honeycomb patterns with the honey replaced by stones & jewels.
