Sharing their plans for London Fashion Week presented by Clearpay Spring 2023 season, the British Fashion Council announced that the shows will continue while observing Royal Protocol and the event will be dedicated to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

With London Fashion Week slated on 15th-20th September 2022, and the period of National Mourning and the Royal Funeral will take place on Monday 19th September, all shows on that date have been rearranged. Please find an updated schedule here: www.londonfashionweek.co.uk

With designers and industry members in agreement to unite as a creative and business community to celebrate Her Majesty’s legacy and commitment to creativity and design, the show must go on.

Impact on London Fashion Week as announced:

-All parties and events beyond collection presentations and catwalks to be postponed or scaled back to focus on business

-There will be a celebration of London Fashion Week in October which will include City Wide Celebration as well as parties and events that have been rescheduled (exact date tbc) with designer shows and presentations celebrated during this period. More information to follow.

To pay respect:

-All union flags will fly at half-mast

-There will be a one-minute silence at 8pm on Sunday 18th September.

-The NEWGEN Venue at Selfridges Hotel will have space for the industry to write tributes

-Post event both the online tributes and those written at LFW venue will be placed in a condolence book for the Royal Family
