LONDON, Sep 19, 2008 / FW/ — After yesterday’s hectic schedule, there are only three must-see names on my list today – adidas by Stella McCartney, Nicole Farhi and Antoni & Alison
adidas by Stella McCartney
It’s London 2012 for the adidas by Stella McCartney show where Olympic gold medalists – U.S. track star Allyson Felix and British cyclist Victoria Pendleton were among those who attended.
In lieu of the traditional catwalk and models, gymnasts wore Stella McCartney’s creations for adidas as they tumbled and jumped on the trampoline and the balance beam. Great concept and execution!
Nicole Farhi
One of my favorite designers in London for her womenswear and in Milan for her menswear, Nicole Farhi proposed striped summer dresses and Capri length trousers for Spring 2009. Inspired by French Impressionist Claude Monet, the dresses and the accessories had that light touch of Monet as seen on the floral patterns and striped renditions.
Antoni & Alison
A tropic paradise, specifically Hawaii, Antoni & Alison gave their own interpretation of the Aloha prints and shirts for Spring 2009.
