NEW YORK, Oct 22, 2009 / FW/ — The scene at Calvin Klein Collection’s Madison Avenue location last Tuesday was like a page from the book that was being launched, “The World in Vogue: People, Parties, Places”.

The title is descriptive of the content. A one-of-a-kin book featuring 300 photographs of some of the most celebrated actors, artists and models, “The World in Vogue: People, Parties, Places

This one-of-a-kind book features 300 photographs of some of the world’s most recognizable faces from actors, artists and models to First Ladies and social figures from the past four decades, as well as photographs from those stories that have never been published.

Edited by Hamish Bowles is European Editor at Large for Vogue and Alexandra Kotur is Style Director at Vogue, the book give readers a glimpse of the glamorous weddings to the annual Costume Institute party at the Metropolitan Museum.

Richly illustrated in black-and-white and color, “The World in Vogue: People, Parties, Places” is a stunning look at portraits, houses, gardens, and parties of celebrated figures from many worlds.

Feting the Hamish Bowles and Alexandra Kotur, Calvin Klein Collection’s Creative Directors’ Francisco Costa and Italo Zucchelli hosted a cocktail reception for the editors and followed it with a private dinner at the new Le Caprice restaurant.

Those in attendance wardrobed in Calvin Klein Collection included actress Eva Mendes, Josh Lucas, Dree Hemingway, Brooklyn Decker, Amanda Brooks, Yvonne Force Villareal, Lauren DuPont, Lisa Marie Fernandez, Alexis Bryan Morgan, Anh Duong, Ferebee Bishop Taube, Olivia Chantecaille, Tory Burch, Jessica Joffe, Meredith Mellling Burke, Zani Gugelmann, Valerie Boster, Sasha Pivovarova, Caroline Trentini, Maryna Linchuck, and Mr. Bowles. All of the women’s looks were designed by Mr. Costa and the men’s looks were designed by Mr. Zucchelli.
