|MADRID, Apr 5, 2010 / — Isabel Mastache was born in Vigo in 1984 to a family with a tradition of tailoring since the 1920s.After studying Fine Arts, she decided to sign up for the Advanced School of Design, Textiles and Fashion of Galicia (ESDEMGA), and since that time she knew she wanted to devote her whole life to this field, always feeling the need to continue learning and experimenting.
She feels a predilection for embroidery and handmade finishes, as well as for noble fabrics. From April through September 2009, she did an internship at the firm D-due.
In November 2008, she won First Prize at the “Tesoira” Galician Competition for New Fashion Creators, and in November 2009 she won the Extraordinary First Prize for the best end-of-university collection, a prize awarded by fashion critic Diane Pernet.
