Evian bottle by Christian LacroixNEW YORK, Jan 21, 2008 / FW/ — Evian, one of the very first companies to sponsor New York Fashion Week is back under the tents at Bryant Park with none other than Christian Lacroix. The French couturier designed a bottle especially for Evian as the first ever high-fashion Evian bottle, a new annual tradition introduced in 2007 by the company.

The Limited Edition Evian Bottle by Christian Lacroix will be distributed at Bryant Park to fashion week attendees. Already a favorite in the nation’s high-end restaurants, hotels and nightclubs, the bottle is reminiscent of a bride in white.

Adorned with a coppiced lace pattern, it provides the bottle with a classic frosted feel and is reminiscent of the flora that can be found at the French Alps.  The curved lines within the design give the bottle a soft, inviting feel that is sure to entice all water drinkers.

The annual Evian designer bottle signifies the brand’s dedication to chic sophistication, providing consumers with an epicurean experience. It is the perfect ‘welcome back’ gift to the fashion crowd who will attend Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York from Feb 1 – 8, 2008.

“We are thrilled to welcome Evian back to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week this year,” said Fern Mallis, Senior Vice President of IMG Fashion in a statement.

Evian graced Bryant Park in 1993, the first time New York Fashion Week was held under the auspices of 7th of Sixth. The bottled water from the mineral rich glacial sands in the pristine French Alps was the official bottled water under the tents at Bryant Park for a decade.

“Without the support of our sponsors Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week would have never grown to the level that it has within New York City and throughout the world,” Fern Mallis added in recognition of Evian’s continued support for fashion.

“Evian has historically been the natural choice of discerning consumers and celebrities around the globe and we are certainly eager to embrace our commitment to those consumers with our return to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week,” said Jeff Caswell, Vice President of Marketing for Evian North America.

“This is the industry’s pinnacle event and exactly where we want to be as we continue to integrate ourselves throughout the fashion community,” Caswell added.
