MILAN, Jan 1, 2008 / FW/ — ITS#SEVEN –International Talent Support, a platform for young talents from different fields of creativity from all over the globe, is on its way and is headed straight towards the event to be held from 18-19 July 2008 in Trieste, Italy.

ITS was created and is developed by E V E, in collaboration with DIESEL, which has been there from the very start. YKK and MINI have renewed their partnership with ITS once again.

For ITS#SEVEN, seven “heavenly sins” have been created. They are seven virtues that contrast with the seven deadly sins. These seven virtues incarnate the various attitudes and values that distinguish ITS: creativity, coolness, intelligence, team spirit, respect, perseverance and happiness. They are the building blocks of ITS, the fundamental elements of the ITS philosophy and are present in everything it does and all the projects it develops. ITS looks for these virtues even in the personalities and creations of its finalists.

EVE is always in search of opportunities for its finalists. It looks for work experiences and collaborations in the field of fashion and photography all year round, opportunities that can help finalists make their dreams come true and use their abilities to their full potential.

The jury, the guests and the press that attend the event are hand picked to guarantee visibility and opportunities for networking. After being chosen as finalists for ITS, some of them were selected to work in fashion houses among the ranks of John Galliano, Giorgio Armani, Antonio Marras, Roberto Cavalli, Salvatore Ferragamo, MaxMara, Viktor&Rolf, Diesel…

ITS#FASHION offers its finalists a wide range of opportunities that go from financial support to work experiences, from projects to special prizes: the Diesel Award substantially assists the winner’s breakthrough into the international fashion industry.

Last year’s winner was offered the following:

  • the opportunity to design a mini-collection – thanks to an internship at the Diesel HQ in Italy – which features a personalised label and is distributed in the most exclusive Diesel stores worldwide;
  • Fashion Collection of the Year gives the winner €20,000 to create a new collection to be presented at next years edition of ITS and the opportunity to become part of the jury;
  • the Maria Luisa Award, a shop window and sale of the collection in the famous Parisian boutique;
  • the i-D Styling Award, a one-month experience at i-D headquarters concluded by a photo shoot;
  • the Vertice Award, a shop window in the Vertice boutique in Turin.
  • PUNTOSETA will support the finalists with its textiles to create their collections. L’Oréal Professionnel will create the hairstyling for the fashion show and Patricia Milton the make-up.

ITS#ACCESSORIES, in collaboration with YKK, is now in its third edition, and confirms its position as an important international competition in the field of accessories design.

The prizes to be won in this competition, a contest dedicated to all types of accessories, are: Accessories Collection of the Year, with a prize of €10,000, and the YKK Award, €10,000 + photoshoot. Ferragamo will offer accessories finalists their support once again this year, not only in the production of shoe prototypes but also of bags.

ITS#PHOTO, sponsored once again by MINI, is a competition for photography schools from all over the globe. This year the theme of the competition is “The Other” and it will grant the MINI Clubman Photo Award which offers the winner €10,000 and a professional shooting.

The photography contest has also made its way to the internet with the introduction of ITS#PHOTOweb which opens its doors to photography lovers and amateurs. This on-line competition will give its overall winner the chance to become a finalist in ITS#PHOTO during ITS#SEVEN.

Their photographs will be displayed in the exhibit and will be in the running for the prizes that are up for grabs. The SVA Photoglobal Award offers the winner a scholarship for the one-year intensive photography course at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Once again this year, Denis Curti, the director of Contrasto, Milan, will be the artistic director of ITS#PHOTO.

All applications must reach E V E office by 25 March 2008 (for more information please log on to www.itsweb.org).

In April a panel of judges specifically chosen from the fields of fashion and accessories and one from the field of photography will select the finalists in each category.

In July in Trieste it will be possible to see the work of these young talents, all of whom are running for the prizes up for grabs in ITS#SEVEN.
