NEW YORK, Feb 10, 2008 / FW/ — We all love Tracy Reese’s flirty silhouettes with a touch of the French Quarter and for Fall 2008, she gave her audience another reason to fall in love with her all over again – inventive combinations!
Who would have thought that florals and animal prints would work? Or paisley and animal prints together would truly gel? Tracy Reese did, and the whole collection just oozed with electricity exit after exit.
And that is just the beginning. There is the blue/white monochromatic tones in a graphical combination given to a dress with a semi-bias cut that draped perfectly; the beige jacquard separate matched with brown foliage print and the two-tone silver empire dress with embroidery on the collar.
Tracy Reese hit a perfect pitch with the color combinations, the cut and tailoring, including the styling with the molded beret hats. She did not miss the ‘shine’ trend either, sending sequined dresses and tops in floral prints.
It’s the whimsical Tracy Reese we know with the added edginess that makes this collection a step forward for the designer.
