PARIS, Sep 19, 2008 / FW/ — Perfect timing for the height of the Spring 2009 fashion season, J.Lindeberg opens a unique concept store in Stockholm, Sweden dedicated solely to menswear.
Located at Biblioteksgatan 6, in a building that was built in 1899 and at the very core of the city’s most exclusive shopping district, the J.Lindeberg boutique offers a complete collections for men and golf, with an entire floor dedicated to exclusively tailored menswear.
While respecting the building’s architectural heritage, the novel interior was given a contemporary twist – approaching from the street, one is greeted by a six-meter tall shopfront conceptualized as a stage for innovative window displays and installations. Inside the store, untreated concrete floors set the stage for redesigned vintage furniture.
Fusing the traditional with the unconventional, the industrial with the refined, a certain bohemian elegance has been achieved. This idea resonates with the clothing range on sale. A tasteful mix of sporty, modern, and tailored that merges with carefully chosen accessories – contemporary as well as vintage – creates a unique combination.
On street level, the space holding the main collection also features a room-within-the-room for golf wear, while one floor above, shirts and suits are tailored from an impressive range of top-quality fabrics.
The new store is the first in a line of concept boutiques due to open around the world.
