London kicks off 2009 with a colourful blast of optimism.
London has kicked off 2009 with a noisy blast of colour and pyrotechnics. Large crowds massed along the banks of the River Thames for the annual fireworks display at The London Eye organised by the Greater London Authority and created by internationally renowned pyrotechnician Christophe Berthonneau.
