NEW YORK, Jan 28, 2009 / FW/ — Teen-age heartthrob Zac Efron and his on-and-off-screen leading lady Vanessa Hudgens attended the premiere of their hit movie High School Musical 3 Shinagawa Stellar Ball at the Prince Hotel on Wednesday (January 28) in Tokyo, Japan.
Wearing a black chintzed wool flannel tuxedo, white cotton shirt, and black tie from Calvin Klein Collection, designed by Italo Zucchelli, the brand’s Men’s Creative Director, Zac Efron, together with Vanessa Hudgens answered questions from the press and posed for photographers.
The film will open on February 7 in Japan. On February 17th, HSM3 will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in addition to the HSM Remix Edition on Blu-ray, which includes a Dance-Along featurette, a behind-the-scenes look at the Hollywood premiere among others.
In spite of receiving mixed reviews, in its first three days of release in the U.S., High School Musical 3: Senior Year grossed $42 million in North America, breaking the record for the largest opening weekend for a musical film.
Considered one of the hottest stars today, Zac Efron was on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list in 2008, as number 92 with estimated earnings of $5.8 million from June of 2007 to June of 2008.
Vanessa Hudgens was included in People’s annual “100 Most Beautiful People” list in May 2008. She ranked #20 for Forbes magazine 2008 highest earners under 30 and #7 at the ten best dressed list for October 2008.
