BARCELONA, Apr 14, 2009 / FW/ — A native of Japan, Seiko Taki graduated from Hokkaido-Joshi University. After graduation, she became a a teacher of Ikebana and later, artistic director of Chinami Kamishima for catwalk shows at Tokyo Fashion Week.
In 2002 in Paris, she studied fashion design at the Ecole Supérieure des Modélistes du Vêtement and at the Académie Internationale de Coupe. She has worked for Benoît Missolin and Anne Valérie Hash. In 2007, she launched her own label, presenting her first collection at Le Showroom in Paris. S ince then, she has taken part in Bread & Butter in Barcelona and the Tranoï show in Paris, and has been invited to the Starck contest in Berlin. Last September, she was selected to participate in the fifth anniversary of the Congress organised by the Fédération Française du Prêt-à-porter Féminin and the City of Paris. Last March 2009, during the 080 Barcelona Fall 2009 season, Seiko Taki was awarded the first ever ‘Best Collection’ award bestowed by 080 Barcelona. Contact Press: |
