DALLAS, May 30, 2009 / FW/ — Online shopping has become more exciting. In collaboration with ideeli, the first invitation-only online shopping community, Oscar de la Renta designed a one-of-a-kind dress – a bubble hemmed cocktail style in floral silk faille – that will be given away to one lucky ideeli member via a random drawing.
Beginning June 1, ideeli members will have 30 days to enter for a chance to win a one-of-a-kind dress by the designer. In addition to the dress, a bubble hemmed cocktail style in floral silk faille; the winner will also receive a sketch of the design signed by Mr. de la Renta.
Launched in the U.S. in June 2007, www.ideeli.com took e-commerce into a different direction wherein customers have to be a member to shop, a concept similar to Costco and Sam’s Club. There is one big difference though, while Costco and Sam’s Club offer low-cost everyday items, ideeli offers high fashion merchandise.
For its members, ideeli creates daily online events that provide its members with the “ideal” shopping experience: privileged access to the most sought-after products and experiences, often at privileged prices.
All events have limited durations wherein previews, up to 10 days prior allow members to discover move about the featured product and discus it online. Call it shopping’s social networking if you want.
Ideeli’s launch of this new program with Oscar de la Renta follows the success of ideeli’s previous marketing programs with featured brands such as Estée Lauder, W Hotels, American Express and Dior.
