DUBAI, Jul 9, 2009 / FW/ — As already have been announced by MTV, with the success of the U.S. and U.K. versions of Paris Hilton’s ‘My New BFF’ is heading to Dubai with filming to have begun during the middle of June.
‘My New BFF Dubai’ will feature 20 young women, half of them from the Middle East and half of them from elsewhere, but currently living in Dubai, will pass a series of tests to find out who bests complements Hilton’s lifestyle and become her new BFF in Dubai.
The series is already in post production, and of course, the winner had not been announced yet, but Paris Hilton already had found her new BFF who was not a member of the cast but played a major role in the series – Salam Stores.

An episode of ‘My New BFF Dubai’ was filmed at the Wafi, Dubai location of Salam Stores and to welcome the star of the show, the retailer got dolled up in the celebrity’s favourite colour and a 42-meter pink carpet was specially rolled out to welcome Paris and her entourage for a VIP-only filming of the show.
Salam Stores was abuzz with the who’s who of Dubai as the celebrity arrived at Salam Stores, Wafi. Bassam Abou Issa, Executive Director Business Development, Board Member of Salam International and Ibrahim Bitar, Regional General Manager, Salam Stores, greeted Paris to the sprawling boutique store which is pure indulgence in top brands of apparels, fragrances, accessories, technology and home decor collections for women, men and children.
A lovely bouquet and a special gift hamper from Salam Stores were presented to Ms Hilton. Looking lovely in a pastel green Marcelo Quandros gown, Paris Hilton greeted and met VIPs, top fashionistas and local celebrities who attended the star-studded evening at Salam Stores.
The latest range of Paris Hilton’s signature line was on display at Salam Stores. Paris chose a few special tees from her brand collection and signed them for her fans and charity. The girls vying to be Paris’ local best friend will be dressed in outfits from Salam to impress Paris in hope to be her companion in Dubai.
As a part of this alliance Salam Stores and their high-end product offering has been integrated into the fabric of the show that is aimed at a global audience.
Paris along with the My BFF cast wore the latest creations from top designer labels housed at Salam Stores during the filming of the third season.
Contestants during the challenge shot at the store were judged by Paris while they interacted with different products housed at Salam Stores, Wafi, from signature brands like Escada, Love Moschino, Just Cavalli, Armani Collezioni and Diesel among others.
