DALLAS, Aug 5, 2009 / FW/ — Proportion. Balance. Architectural and slim. This describes the silhouette for fall. It is very sensual even if the shape is not revealing.

There is something organically sexy about correct symmetry in an ensemble. Whether it is a curve hugging dress or a balloon trouser with a flowy blouse, each in itself has an alluring appeal.

This season is inclined to accentuate the waist and lengthen the leg; this is achieved with tighter fitting clothes.

Tommy Hilfiger and Tracy Reese show a less dramatic shape with classic shifts. Yigal Azrouel accents curves with fitted fabrics. The combination of the broad shoulder, synched waist, and long legs are the essentials to this trend.

Christian Siriano shows that to us with precision, and Unrath Strano even translates this shape into evening gown silhouettes.

The encouraging thing is to let the clothes do the talking for this trend. Let them create this look for your body instead of having to ultimately give up your chocolate fetish. Now what girl wants to do that?
