PARIS, Dec 4, 2009 / FW/ — Exploring the world of fragrances for the first time, Bottega Veneta has formed an exclusive partnership with Coty to create, develop, and distribute a line of fragrances under the Bottega Veneta name.
Commenting on the partnership, Tomas Maier, Creative Director of Bottega Veneta said, “The opportunity to create the first Bottega Veneta fragrance is an exciting challenge. I’ve always loved fragrance and have very definite ideas about what I want to do.”
Founded in Vicenza in 1996, Bottega Veneta is steeped in the traditions of Italy’s master leather craftsmen and long celebrated for its leather goods. Since then, it has emerged as a premier luxury brand under the creative direction of Tomas Maier, who joined the company in 2001.
