LOS ANGELES, Dec 15, 2009 / FW/ — The Hollywood awards season kicked off today with the announcement of the nominees for the 2010 Golden Globe Awards and “Up in the Air” starring George Clooney topped the list with 6 nominations including Best Motion Picture Drama, Best Actor for George Clooney, and Best Supporting Actress for Anna Kendrick and Vera Farmiga.
In the TV category, Glee was the big winner, with nominations for Best TV Series, Best Actress in TV, Best Actor in TV and Best Supporting Actress in TV
Fashionistas will be interested to learn that Tom Ford’s directorial debut “A Single Man” garnered three nominations: Best Actor of Colin Firth, Best Supporting Actress for Julianne Moore and Best Original Score for Motion Picture.
Two “The Devil Wears Prada” alumni, Emily Blunt is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her work in “The Young Victoria” and Simon Baker is nominated for Best Actor for TV Drama for his work in “The Mentalist”
