MILAN, Jan 3, 2010 / FW/ — On January 14, 2010, Umit Benan will preview his Menswear Collection F/W 2010-2011at Pitti Uomo’s Men’s Fashion Project.
As the winner of the edition of “WHO IS ON NEXT? UOMO”, Umit Benan was selected by the Fondazione Discovery as the NEW PERFORMER at Pitti Uomo 77.
The New Performers is a project/program produced by Pitti Discovery to create opportunities for new talents in fashion, as well as for those who work with fashion’s materials by bringing them together with various artistic and esthetic disciplines.
Umit Benan was chosen since he was the winner of the first edition of “WHO IS ON NEXT? UOMO”. His event will be held in the Restaurant at the Santa Maria Novella Railroad Station, a building designed in the 1930s by a team of architects headed by Giovanni Michelucci and still considered one of the masterpieces of Italian rationalism.
Known for designing clothes that allows personality, individuality and character to emerge, Umit Benan’s objective is first and foremost elegance.
Umit Benan’s Fall 2010 / Winter 2011 collection offers a complete, versatile and enduring style where every item is at once definite per se and complementary to the others: in the easy mix & match of the different fabrics and color combos, in the continual alternation between slim silhouettes and soft volumes, in the put-together feel emblematic of a Retired Rockers wardrobe.
