giuliano_fujiwara01MILAN, Feb 3, 2010 / FW/ — Breaking new ground at Giuliano Fujiwara, Masataka Matsumura is launching a womenswear line to the brand, which since its inception has always been menswear label.

The new collection will debut during the upcoming Milano Moda Donna (Milan Fashion Week) and is expected to help increase the Italo-Japanese brand’s products offering that currently includes men’s and home furnishing collections.

Conceptual and precise, the Giuliano Fujiwara womenswear is directional and extremely focused; the style is deeply rooted in the ancient Japanese tradition of origami, whose key elements are interpreted through a contemporary and Matsumura’s personal vision.

“The woman I think of when I design represents my ideal woman, who’s sophisticated, truly elegant, a precise expression of the modern times she lives in”, says Masataka Matsumura.

Accessories are not just perceived as a mere complement, but rather as a central element of utmost importance around which the whole project gets developed.

giuliano_fujiwara02The accessories are the result of the encounter of Masataka Matsumura’s creative talent with the undisputed, long time experience in products development of Giacomo Santucci, whose professional background makes this Italian manager the perfect interpreter of the brand’s values, and definitely contributes to consolidate giuliano Fujiwara’s status as a true lifestyle brand.

Giulaino Fujwiara women’s collection will be distributed in all the brand’s flagship stores in Tokyo, Milan, Rome and Taipei, as well as in some of the most prestigious specialty stores worldwide, and will be presented to international press and retailers during Milano Moda Donna with a special display inside the store in Via Borgospesso 11.
