Slated to be launched on January 2011, just in time when the Spring 2011 collections hit the stores, MRPORTER.com promises to be as style savvy as its 10-year old sister, Net-a-porter.com. Mr Porter will propose a selection of the best of men’s fashion, the best known brands and also give fashion advice for men.
This unique concept will offer a selection of some sixty of the most prestigious ready-to-wear brands for men, putting forward indispensable core brands while proposing emerging international designers.
Partners for the Mr Porter project already read like a who’s who in menswear – Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Lanvin, YSL, Margiela, Balmain, Dunhill, Margaret Howell, Rick Owens, John Lobb and RM by Roland Mouret.
“Commenting on this new project, Natalie Massenet, founder of Net-a-Porter says, “For us it is an incredible and exciting new adventure as we prepare for some time now. We always thought NETAPORTER evoke in the female collective imagination a platform and now we are ready to create a new world of fashion entirely designed and dedicated to men and their style.”
According to Ms. Massenet, Mr Porter already has a customer base ready. 100% of Net-a-porter clients have a man in their lives and 59% of them are married or living with their partner.
Mr Porter will offer same day delivery in London and Manhattan (New York) and expedited delivery in other cities around the world.
