NEW YORK, Apr 15, 2011/ FW/ — A modern, flirty and whimsical take on bridal classics, Anais Collezioni is the latest bridal line from Rani Totman who is known for her uber luxurious St. Pucchi line.
Teaming up with her two sons Montree and Kris to create Anais, the collection which was unveiled in New York this week is a blend of airy light fabrics and streamlined silhouettes with haute couture elements.
“With Anaïs Collezioni, we are transforming bridal classics into more avant-garde pieces and making them accessible to a wider audience,” says Rani. “The 2011 collection is composed of traditional bridal looks infused with modern details like ruffles, sashes, and shorter hemlines.”
The collection features expertly crafted gowns made of layers of ruched silk, polyorganza, taffeta, and lace. These elements are draped and sewn to create 20 exquisite gowns of various necklines, waistlines, and hemlines. From asymmetrically draped gowns with sweeping trains to bridal cocktail dresses with layers that create a floral motif, each dress is crafted with the utmost attention to detail.
The gowns, which are all priced under $2000, are presented in simple whites, ivories and platinum with splashes of soft lilac and gold to create dimension. Dresses are also accessorized with darker colored ribbons and jewel encrusted belts to emphasize the natural waist.
“My mother is young at heart. When looking at this collection, you can see the underlying flirty, fun and contemporary approach she has taken,” explains Kris. “Nonetheless, the St. Pucchi signature is always present.”
“Anaïs Collezioni fills the void for innovative and cutting edge bridal design at an affordable price. It suits the price-conscious bride who doesn’t want to compromise style and quality,” adds Montree.
