DALLAS, Jul 14, 2011/ FW/ — For Summer 2011, Opening Ceremony is pleased to launch its very first kidswear collection in partnership with A for Apple, a Hong Kong-based brand that specializes in premium children’s apparel.

This season, the Opening Ceremony by A for Apple line offers a variety of summer weather essentials, including lightweight jackets and airy cotton dresses, for girls and boys, age 6 months through 6 years.

Inspired by the French Riviera storytelling of Opening Ceremony’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection, this kidswear partnership refashions classic Opening Ceremony silhouettes for the little ones, combining the highest quality of fabrics with fun prints and vibrant colors: plush fleece flare coats in bright apple red and deep navy, short-sleeve godet dresses in the softest organic jersey, mini-polka dot flared skirts, patchwork oxford shirts in watercolor blue stripes, and schoolboy-styled blazers with custom embroidery patches.

Dark leopard skin patterns recur on denim skirts, slim cargo pants, and outerwear pieces. Other highlights include unisex jumpsuits in cotton and supple denim, French sailor shirts with inside-out stripes, and Victorian-inspired blouses with ruffled sleeves.
