NEW YORK, Mar 19, 2013/ — The BCBG Spring 2013 collection was inspired by the femme fatale muses and high contrast of Helmut Newton’s black and white photography.

Following that line of thought, photographer Chad Pitman captured the essence of the BCBGMAXAZRIA woman in dramatic color and poses that suggested a modern day Mata Hari.

For the shoot, a cool combination of work wear and lingerie is offset by sculptural leather harnesses wer used. Fluid silhouettes, elongated proportions and weightless fabrics were highlighted to embody the seductive allure of the season.

Weatherworn patinas and vintage-washed chambrays are complemented by a palette of black and white with hints of muted pinks. Textures of printed silk crepe and denim are adorned with tulle, embroidery and lace.

Minimalist portfolio clutches and graphic ankle-cuff heels, softened by perforated leather, add a menswear element and functionality to ethereal looks.

The BCBGMAXAZRIA Spring 2013 Runway Advertising Campaign was shot on location at a private residence in Beverly Hills, CA.
