Recently on a péniche boat in Paris,  Balmain celebrated a return to fashion.  While practicing social distancing,  Creative Director Olivier Rousteing brought in choreographer Jean-Charles Jousni and the same dancers he had in his last show to invigorate the moving presentation.

Floating down through the city was the Balmain Sur Seine.   A bold barge hosting models on mirrored platforms as the French singer-songwriter Yseult performed a special ballad.  Dazzling sequined dresses and strapless gowns were complemented by long leather gloves and eye-catching jewelry,  revealing Balmain’s revered contemporary Parisian style. Drifting by iconic Parisian landmarks,  city onlookers enjoyed the show,  and the fashion dance party reminded us of the stimulation we’ve been missing while isolated over the past few months.

The performance can also be seen on TikTok, marking the first time the social media platform live-streamed a luxury brand’s event.

“I cannot imagine a better pairing than the sublime voice of Yseult and today’s beautiful Parisian views.  Paris, we are stronger than ever together. It was very important to make this accessible to all.” – Olivier Rousteing
