|NEW YORK, Aug 16, 2008 (Updated Feb 14, 2009) / FW / – Duckie Brown is the name of the high-end menswear brand that has taken the runway by storm since it first appeared at the 2003 Gen Art Fresh Faces Show.Every season, each of their runway show has revealed more stimulating designs which could be all summed up as wearable and noticeable. Noticeable as in colourful, exciting, luxurious… Duckie Br
own represents a “mid-Atlantic” elegance for men, striking the right balance halfway between European creativity and American style.
In the designing duo at the helm of Duckie Brown – together with Daniel Silver – Steven Cox is the more European half: originally from London, Cox has then worked as a designer at Tommy Hilfiger, Polo and Theory, before he founded with Silver the brand that was honored last year with a Menswear designer of the year nomination by CFDA.
Before sending their Duckie Brown collection for Spring-Summer 2009 on the runway, under the tents in Bryant Park at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Steven Cox has answered our questionnaire.
