PARIS, Oct 2, 2008 / FW/ — Dusky colours contrasting with black, winter whites, gold detailing and prints culled from the world of porcelain dominated the El Delgado Buil Spring 2009 collection that was based on 1980s volumes and created in cotton, viscose and chiffon.
Designed by Anna Figuera Delgado and Macarena Ramos Buil met who met while they were students at Escuela Superior de Diseño in Sabadell, the duo launched El Delgado Buil in 2004, the year they graduated. Since then they have presented their collections on the Barcelona Circuit, the Lisbon Circuit and FIB (Benicássim International Music Festival).
In 2007 they graduated to the Pasarela Cibeles (Cibeles runway show), where they won the “L’Oreal Prize” for best new designers’ collection twice in a row. They have collaborated with brands like Sony PlayStation and made the front cover of B-Guided magazine. In November of the same year they were awarded the “Marie Claire Fashion Prize” for best young, Spanish designer.
In March 2007, El Delgado Buil opened their shop/workshop in the old district of Barcelona. The brand regularly attends the Rendez-Vous Paris fair and has many outlets in Spain, France, Denmark and Sweden.
