PARIS, Oct 1, 2008 / FW/ — The shoes and bags are made on different levels, with volumes, superimposed pieces and structures that link shoe components (heels and soles), with bag components (hinges, clasps and straps).
The collections are characterized by mixing up metal and wood, matt and shiny leather, stiff and supple leather and polished elements with coarse, unwrought elements. Spain’s gentz.suarez. – master shoemakers who make each shoe individually.
Designed by Mar Suárez and Michael Ferdinand Gentz, gentz suarez is Spain’s master shoemaker, wherein each shoe is made individually. With their artistic background (art and sculpture), and a period spent with master shoemakers in Alicante, they launched their first collection in 2007.
Recently gentz.suarez. opened their own shop in the Gràcia district of Barcelona.
Their main workshop is currently in the Mitte district of Berlin where they will open a second shop in 2008. There will be a new line of bags and accessories in metal and sterling silver for next autumn.
