MOSCOW, Nov 4, 2008 / FW/ — Expect high profile Italian labels in Moscow and more Russian designers showing in Milan during the Fall 2009 / Winter 2010 season with the announcement of a collaboration between Russian Fashion Week and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana.
In a press conference held yesterday in Moscon, RFW Producer General Alexander Shumsky and President of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana Mario Boselli announced cooperation for the upcoming fashion season.
Cooperation between RFW and Camera Moda includes the Italian Day at RFW in April 2009 with participation of 6 designers – headliners of Milano Moda Donna along with young cutting-edge talents while 4 designers-headliners of Russian Fashion Week will showcase their Fall 2009 / Winter 2010 collections at the Milano Moda Donna catwalk.
“Cooperation with Russian Fashion Week is essential for us. This event is rapidly developing with every season,” Mario Boselli said in a statement.
This is not the first time that RFW and Camera Moda collaborated. In October 2005, RFW hosted the Italian Day with participation of 5 Italian brands (La Perla, Romeo Gigli, Exte’, Guerriero, Pollini by Rifat Ozbek), and in February 2006 Milano Moda Donna showcased the RFW stand with outfits by 10 RFW headliners.
During the Milano Moda Donna Spring / Summer 2007 season, 3 top Russian designers showcased their collections in Milan.
