PARIS, Oct 1, 2009 / FW/ — As promised, Anne Valerie Hash is back after one season’s absence on the haute couture calendar. Her hiatus, though short-lived paid off as she sent romantic yet modernistic silhouettes that are wearable but kept its artistic declinations.

Anne Valerie Hash Spring 2010

Opting for neutral colors, Hash sent out different washes of beige and several shades of black of “casual” clothes, the word “casual” being used loosely here. With the models wearing runners that reminiscent of the original Converse shoes, a retro charm was almost immediately achieved.

Low-waist trousers with obi-wide bands were proposed; comfy and relaxed, the romantic feel was realized with the big 3-D pockets that are sheered. Tuxedo shirts were re-imagined in crumpled organza. Speaking of organza, Anne Valerie Hash sheered, folded and ruche them, something she also did with leather.
